Reading Time: 6 minutes read

The most expected end of the season in the history of the NBA is approaching, and although there are still many details to be confirmed, we already have many clear dates. The most important is the date of the season return, which will be on July 30th at the Disney World complex in Orlando, with the end of the regular season on August 14th.

On August 15 and 16, the play-ins will be played, and on August 17, the playoffs will begin. The deadline for the end of the 2019-2020 season will be October 13.

On October 15th the Draft 2020 will be held (the draw will be on August 25th) and on October 18th the free agency will start.

Even the NBA free agency is always unpredictable, here are predictions for 10 top players who could become free agents this offseason.

1. Anthony Davis /  Power Forward

Team: Los Angeles Lakers

Earnings: $27,093,019

Anthony Davis, popularly known by his nickname “The Brow”, is a star who has shown us over the years the exceptional attribute and unique flair he possesses for the game of basketball.

2. Andre Drummond / Center

Team: Detroit Pistons

Player Option

Earnings: $27,093,018

The best rebounder of the league hasn’t helped the team much in the win column this season, even though his huge numbers for the team.

3. DeMarcus Cousins / Center

Team: Los Angeles Lakers

Unrestricted

Earnings: $3,500,000

He has missed all of this season for being injured. He has had bad luck concerning his health over recent years and this will concern teams when he hits free agency.

4. Gordon Hayward / Small Forward

Team: Boston Celtics

Player Option

Earnings: $32,700,690

5. Fred VanVleet / Point Guard

Team: Toronto Raptors

Unrestricted

Earnings: $9,346,153

He is an above-average three-point shooter as well as a great playmaker. After signing a two-year, $18 million deal with Toronto in 2018, VanVleet’s next contract should be larger given his recent performance. And the Raptors are surely interested in bringing him back.

6. Brandon Ingram / Small Forward

Team: New Orleans Pelicans

Restricted

Earnings: $7,265,485

A long, bouncy wing who can do a bit of everything, including score, rebound and create for others. At his 22 years, Ingram is surrounded by incredible talent as well as franchise assets, and exhibits a strong work ethic. Since he will be a restricted free agent, the Pelicans can match any offer made to the forward.

7. Montrezl Harrell / Center

Team: Los Angeles Clippers

Unrestricted

Earnings: $6,000,000

This athletic, 7 feet big man is a post defender with rare versatility. He’s the Clippers’ leading shot-blocker with 1.1 per game, which rates 22nd in the league.

8. Serge Ibaka / Center

Team: Toronto Raptors

Unrestricted

Earnings: $23,271,604

He is terrific at blocking shots. He went back to back seasons averaging over three blocked shots per game, which of course gave him the block titles for those years. Ibaka is also shooting over 50% in his career.

9. DeMar DeRozan / Shooting Guard

Team: San Antonio Spurs

Player Option

Earnings: $27,739,975

He is one of the most consistent scorers in the league with six consecutive seasons of 20-plus points per game. He’s a very poor 3-point shooter, however, and he isn’t a lockdown defender on the perimeter. Even he isn’t a No. 1 or No. 2 option on a title contender, but he could be enough to help a team on the cusp of the playoffs earn a postseason berth.

10. Mike Conley / Point Guard

Team: Utah Jazz

Player Option

Earnings: $32,511,623

His first season with the Jazz has been a disappointment so far, as he’s struggled to play in a new system. Still, a player as experienced and talented as he is should be able to turn things around. Nevertheless, he’s the highest-paid player of the Utah Jazz and the 17th best-paid NBA player this year.
