The next 93rd edition of the Academy Awards will arrive later than usual. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Academy has pushed back the deadlines and ceremony date for Oscars 2021. The show, originally scheduled for February 28, 2021, will finally air live through ABC on Sunday, April 25, 2021. However, until then, you can bet on the Oscar winners since the odds are already available at London Betting Shop.

Predicting the next Oscar winners is not easy and simple work. Many factors take into account when considering all the features to be chosen by the members of the Academy.

In this article we will talk about the three main categories among the 23 awarded by the Academy. They are: best film, best actor and best actress.

When talking about actors, the candidates can be more clearly predicted since the award goes to reward their individual skills and performance on the specific film.

But when we talk about choosing the best picture, things are more complicated. Many other elements come into play in order to be able to evaluate it.

Factors like the prestige of the filmmakers and the critical reception to their previous films are very important to consider. In addition, the effect of the preferential ballot, the box office sales, and the track record of the studios are also very considered factors.

Apart from the above mentioned list, there are actually a record number of Oscar contenders this year.

Much of the credit is due to the presence of the streamers, including Netflix, Amazon Studios, Apple TV Plus, HBO Max, and Hulu.

A special mention to Netflix, that this year have a lot of nominated films and maybe the streaming service can get the top prize. In 2018 they were nominated with “Roma” and in 2019 with “The Irishman” and “Marriage Story,”  but without any wins yet.

Maybe this year the producer can sweep the board with several of his productions. Anything can happen.
