The 104th edition of the Giro d’Italia is underway and the 23 teams with their favorites riders will run the 11th stage. The route started on May 8th in Turin with 9 kilometers, sharp opening individual time trial, and will finish on May 30th in Milan, also with a race against the clock.
This time, the Giro d´Italia presents a typical brutally tough route, packed with mountainous stages, gravel sections, and two individual time trials opening and closing the 21-day race.
The 2021 edition of the Giro d’Italia 2021 is expected to be a hard-fought race for the 23 teams competing for the trophy on 30 May in Milan.
The big favorites are Colombian Egan Bernal of the Ineos team and Belgian Remco Evenepoel of Quick-Step. However, both have admitted that they are not at their best. Bernal had slowed down his preparation due to back problems. As per Evenepoel, he had not competed since his terrible accident in Lombardy in August 2020.
